Incredibly sweet wine - lots of residual sugars. Some nice nuttiness. Drink it ice cold only

Very sweet with nutty almonds in the palate, and with at least 30% residual sugar in the glass. To drink very cold. Great with desserts or at the end of a meal.

A classic white dessert wine from Austria that has the sweetness to stand up to dessert pairings, and a very good deal for an Ice Wine.

In December, the Grüner Veltliner is left on the vines. When the weather is below zero, the grapes begin to freeze and become solid. They can then be picked up to make Ice Wine. They are picked grain by grain and put in a vat where only the liquid in each berry is gathered. The water in the grapes, which is solid, is thrown out so all the sugar of the wine does not become ice. This is what makes the Ice Wine with an enormous concentration of residue of sugar.
