Sweet currant nose with some light hints of smoke, pepper and black berry. The palate is lightly sweet with notes of currant and dark berries with a finish that turns to hints of hazelnut.

Made in Spain with 100% Monastrell grapes, this organic wine took me by surprise. Very aromatic, deep dark jam and that lovely smell of tomato vines. Dense mouth feel, and bursting berries, licorice, and chocolate. At its price point, I will be buying a case of this.

Rating 88: Complex long nose of berries and multiple aromas. Body some how not that smooth but rather lively with fruit. Try it yourself

I liked this wine.. It has the Big Jumilla taste but good complexity good acidity adaquate tannins and a lingering finish. Huge Black Fruit and a hint of licorice. At this price point this is a wine that I would consider buying at least 6 bottles of for future evolution in the bottle.

Smooth medium bodied wine. Didnt quite taste the fruity, vanilla tastes the wine store suggested but its definitely a good buy for the price. Easy to drink, and drinks well alone.

Very inky on the pour (it's like your pen just exploded). Strong notes of blueberry and black pepper; very jammy.

This solid red shows typical game and licorice notes, framing black cherry and chocolate flavors over firm tannins. Finishes with a fresh herbal note. Drink now through 2014.

Medium red. Fresh strawberry and cherry aromas are clean and precise. Brisk red fruit flavors are sharply focused, with deeper espresso and bitter chocolate qualities building with air. Finishes with impressive grip and persistence, leaving a bright cherry impression. This bargain saw no oak.

Perfect picnic wine! 100% organic Montastrell (i.e. Mourvedre) thatrsquo;s super juicy and uncomplicated. It shows fresh raspberries and black cherries, unfettered by the heavy tannins of many red wines. Instead of a Beaujolais, why donrsquo;t you give this a try?

Attractive, full-force plum and berry aromas with a fruity, rich, concentrated palate of black fruit and plum. Smooth, nothing fancy, and always solid for those looking for a big, full-bodied wine at an affordable price. Luzon is the definition of a go-to producer.

Coming from a tiny winery in the southeastern part of Spain, this full-throttled red is mostly Mourvèdre with a tiny bit of Syrah. Spicy black plum, red currants, and licorice fill the palate, and it finishes with a warm vanilla toastiness. A great introduction to Spanish reds.
