User Reviews for Luzon Jumilla Verde
Add your reviewMade in Spain with 100% Monastrell grapes, this organic wine took me by surprise. Very aromatic, deep dark jam and that lovely smell of tomato vines. Dense mouth feel, and bursting berries, licorice, and chocolate. At its price point, I will be buying a case of this.

(100% monastrell): Bright ruby. High-pitched aromas of red berries and spices, with a subtle note of violet. Spicy and energetic on the palate, offering red berry and cracked pepper flavors that gain weight and sweetness with air. Clean and nervy on the finish, which shows good clarity and a hint of bitter cherry. This is an excellent value. Bodegas Luzon's unoaked 2010 Luzon Verde was produced with organically grown grapes from 100% Monastrell. It is a briery, herbaceous wine with ample blue fruit, good volume, and plenty of flavor. Drink it over the next 3 years.
The 2009 Luzon Verde was produced from organically grown grapes and is 100% Monastrell from 15- to 35-year-old vines. Dark ruby-colored, the nose offers up earth, spice, underbrush, and blueberry. Ripe, sweetly-fruited, and firm, it will deliver pleasure over the next 4 years. (100% organically grown monastrell) Inky ruby. Vibrant aromas and flavors of black raspberry, spicecake and black pepper. Very complex for the money. Brisk, focused dark fruit flavors linger on the finish, which repeats the peppery note and shows a hint of heat. This is a real value.
