Color: Clear deep purple to a violet rim.
Nose of dark cherry and leather with hints of chocolate-mint.
Heavy bodied and a little hot on the palate.
Well interrogated smooth tannin and nice acidity.
Flavors of red fruit; ripe strawberries and minor herbaceous notes

Summary: + great value wine and food friendly (-) minor alcohol imbalance

K&L Wines is promoting this at a Trader Joe like price but disappointing. I wish Spain would stop trying to cater to new world tastes. But not many choices otherwise at this price point. Tried it to see if I should stock up as a daily wine but not worth it. If you like Syrah you would like this better than if you like Grenache (it is a Monastrell-Syrah blend). Ok for a tailgate pizza party, not for a quiet dinner indoors. I don't think it is going to get any better, so forget storing hoping for more.

Wonderfully balanced wine. Big spice and fruity flavor. At $7.99 you're getting a $20 wine. I'll bet they'll jack up the price on this... buy it while it's still inexpensive.

Disappointing Rating 84. the complex nose is the best about this wine. OPtherwise lot of acid and hint of bitterness on a lean frame
