Luna Vineyards Teroldego Napa Valley(2004)

Winemaking - At harvest, we cold-soaked the fruit for 5 days to add some weight and texture. Like all of our wines at Luna Vineyards, the Teroldego was fermented using native yeasts. We allowed a very warm fermentation to extract as much flavor and tannins out of this dense grape. After 20 months in French oak barrels, the wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered. Tasting Notes - The 2004 Teroldego is black in color with amazing notes of cedar, anise, and blueberries on the nose. This wine is full-bodied and wonderfully polished, with plums, black cherries and dark chocolate on the mid-palate.
