terrific. cranberry and sour cherry reductions sauce. the acid here packs quite a punch so unless you can handle some heartburn i do not recommend pairing it with pasta and red sauce, even though it tasted great together. this would make a great thanksgiving wine to pair with cranberry sauce.

(Includes 4% petite sirah) Good full ruby-red. Vibrant aromas of raspberry, bitter cherry, licorice and rose petal. The palate offers terrific juicy berry intensity with brisk framing acidity; reminded me of a top zinfandel from the days before this variety was routinely overwhelmed by new oak or blurred by overripeness. This sharply delineated fruit bomb finishes with substantial dusty tannins and noteworthy purity, cut and length, showing little sign of its 14.9% alcohol. Drink this now or hold it for three to five years. The sangiovese craze in California has passed, but Lunas example remains consistently excellent-and gently priced. ** Only 8 in Stock **

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Tasting Notes Our Napa Valley Sangiovese is the deep color of garnets. The aromas of raspberries, black cherries, milk chocolate and rose petals come forward on the nose. The Merlot supports a plump blueberry core on the mid-palate, accented by chocolate and hints of orange. An interesting mineral note appears on the back of the palate, and firm, silky tannins hold the wine together. The finish is a lush thirty second trail of perfectly ripe, but not overripe, cherries. Drink through 2015.
