Luna Vineyards Sangiovese California (2007)
The color is a brilliant salmon pink, and the nose is filled with gooseberry, maraschino cherry, strawberry and lemon. On the palate, the flavors are reminiscent of sweet-tart watermelon rind, ruby red grapefruit and lemon zest. The finish continues with more citrus notes, accented by a touch of fennel. Like the rosés from the south of France, our 2007 Minuet is a wine meant to be enjoyed young, while basking in the summer sunshine.
