Luna Vineyards Pinot Grigio Napa Valley 2010
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
Editorial Reviews for Luna Vineyards Pinot Grigio Napa Valley
This is fairly mineral on the nose with a nice contrast of stemmy apple fruit and some hints of pineapple. Light in the mouth and a touch soft, this is inoffensive but innocuous with lightly creamy peach flavors on the mid-palate and a hint of sweet nuttiness on the modest finish. 78pts
Napa Chard approach.Big golden color. Some nice oak integration and macintosh apple flavors. Pair with something rich in a cream sauce.
QPR city. Tastes like a $30 Napa Chardonnay. Nice vanilla grapefruit with a sweet caramel finish. Paired it with fried fish filets and have no complaints.
This is one of my favorite Pinot Grigios. It's not quite as fruity as some but has a lot of depth to it. It kind of reminds me of a Chardonnay.
Light bodied wine that is on the sweet side. Noted hints of pineapple and other tropical fruits. Balanced acidity helped to make the wine more rounded and enjoyable. Not a bad pinot grigio for the price.
Peaches dominate, there's some residual sugar here, but its not overpoweringly sweet. Good acidity helps keep it balanced and there's solid minerality on the nose. Spice on the finish, which is fairly long but a bit chemically at the very end.
This is a fuller Pinot Grigio. We enjoyed it with a chicken and shrimp salad. Not as light and sharp as others. Smelt, felt and tasted like the chardonnay it embodies. Nice table white.

There is not a better Pinot Grigio being produced ion the New World than Lunarsquo;s. The finest they have made to date, the stunning 2001 Pinot Grigio offers aromas and flavors of orange marmalade intermixed with honeysuckle. This fresh, medium to full-bodied effort is an example of a hedonistic dry white at it finest.
The 2009 Pinot Grigio is a light golden color. The nose is scented with grapefruit and pear, and on the palate orange fruits come to the forefront. Mango and orange zest are accented by notes of guava and a pronounced minerality. The wonderful acidity and full-bodied texture carry through a delicious lemony finish with hints of apricot. This wine will be at its peak from now through the end of 2012. - Winery
Pale yellow gold, rich, slightly tropical aromas of orange and nuts. Fat, smoky and thick, with exotic fruits and marzipan leavened by firm mineral spice. A touch of sweetness (4 grams per liter r.s.) is nicely balanced by sound acidity. Concentrated, almost honeyed pinot grigio with lovely richness and length. this was fermented in barrel with wild yeasts; half of the wine went through malolactic barrel with wild yeasts; half of the wine went through malolactic fermentation.
Leesy aromas of lemon, honey and hay, with hints of dried fruits. Supple, very ripe and layered, with a flavor of lemon drop. Distinctly fat for Pinot Gris but has complexity and sound supporting acidity. This was fermented in barrel, with little use of SO2.
Remarkably complex and compelling. Ripe and rich, loaded with tiers of fig, roasted almond, spice, vanilla bean, cream and tangy lemon overtones. Excellent viscosity, with tart, lingering quince nuances. Drink now.
