Luna Vineyards Pinot Grigio Napa Valley 2006
The 2007 Pinot Grigio is a light golden color. The nose is scented with grapefruit and pear, and on the palate orange fruits come to the forefront. Mango and orange zest are accented by notes of guava and a pronounced minerality. The wonderful acidity and full-bodied texture carry through a delicious lemony finish with hints of apricot. This wine will be at its peak from now through the end of 2009. Blend: 95% Pinot Grigio, 5% Chardonnay
Light bodied wine that is on the sweet side. Noted hints of pineapple and other tropical fruits. Balanced acidity helped to make the wine more rounded and enjoyable. Not a bad pinot grigio for the price.
Peaches dominate, there's some residual sugar here, but its not overpoweringly sweet. Good acidity helps keep it balanced and there's solid minerality on the nose. Spice on the finish, which is fairly long but a bit chemically at the very end.
This is a fuller Pinot Grigio. We enjoyed it with a chicken and shrimp salad. Not as light and sharp as others. Smelt, felt and tasted like the chardonnay it embodies. Nice table white.

Wine Tasting NotesThe Pinot Grigio has a wonderfully expressive nose of lemon, fig, and apricot. A delicate wine on the palate with layers of citrus, almonds, and toasted bread. The barrel fermentation adds a layer of viscosity to the entire mid palate. The mouthwatering acidity keeps the wine together as it folds seamlessly on the finish.
