Luna Vineyards Pinot Grigio Napa Valley(2006)

The 2007 Pinot Grigio is a light golden color. The nose is scented with grapefruit and pear, and on the palate orange fruits come to the forefront. Mango and orange zest are accented by notes of guava and a pronounced minerality. The wonderful acidity and full-bodied texture carry through a delicious lemony finish with hints of apricot. This wine will be at its peak from now through the end of 2009. Blend: 95% Pinot Grigio, 5% Chardonnay

Blend: 95% Pinot Grigio, 5% Chardonnay The 2006 Pinot Grigio is a star-bright, light straw color, and its nose has wonderful aromas of pear, peach and apricot. This is adelicious, full-bodied wine with a forward surge of lemon zest and pine nutflavors. On the palate, there are notes of citrus, fig, pear, pineapple and a fainthint of oak. Notes of honeysuckle and orange marmalade close out the finish. This wine is delightful to drink now, and will continue to be at its peakthrough the end of 2008.

Peaches dominate, there's some residual sugar here, but its not overpoweringly sweet. Good acidity helps keep it balanced and there's solid minerality on the nose. Spice on the finish, which is fairly long but a bit chemically at the very end.

This is a fuller Pinot Grigio. We enjoyed it with a chicken and shrimp salad.

Not as light and sharp as others. Smelt, felt and tasted like the chardonnay it embodies.

Nice table white.
