Luna di Luna Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
Luna di Luna is a brand of everyday Italian table wines. The wines are produced in different regions, reflecting diverse grapes and terroirs. The signature wines are a blend of two grapes, such as Chardonnay/Pinot Grigio, Merlot/Cabernet, Sangiovese/Merlot, etc., hence the “two moons” of the brand.
78/100 points. Deep purple color that fades to orange at the rim. Fairly one-dimensional floral bouquet. Flavors of red currant and leather, some raspberry in the finish. This wine never really develops in any manner. It's not unpleasant, but very ordinary. This wine is probably past its time. Will not buy again.
