Lulu B Chardonnay Limoux 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Rich and creamy, with flavors of pear, butterscotch and a hint of oak. The clean, crisp finish makes me think of "sunshine in a glass."

Candied on the nose with notes of melon, Pixy Stix, lemon curd, nutmeg and burnt sugar. A nice balance of sweet and sour in the mouth, though there’s not a lot of flavor. This seems to be relying on its volume more than anything else and while there is some modest fruit tone here, it is low and short. This wine declares its neutrality so aggressively you might be tempted to think it’s Swiss. 78pts

A charming, brilliant gold color. The bouquet is warm and welcoming, has hints of citrus and gains in complexity to reveal notes of honey and tropical fruits. Rich and fresh and with a long, generous finish and a taste of fruit that never ends.Vinification took place in stainless steel tanks. The temperature of the fermentation was rigorously controlled and the wine did not undergo malolactic fermentation. 15% of the wine was aged in oak barrels for a creamy finish and full body.Try it With: Ideal served with light meats, grilled chicken or fish, or gruyere cheese. Also try it with a clambake on the beach!
