Barrel Sample Spicy on the nose with a lively fruity character, a bit beefy, and spicy with notes of talc, violet and caraway. Great acids on entry balance out the sweetness of very ripe fruit and gently astringent tannins. This is crisp and focused with good energy in the mouth driving the red plum and raspberry fruit across the palate. There are nice notes of violet and earthy spice on the moderately long finish and just a bit of obvious tannin giving this refreshing mouthgrab. 87-88pts
