Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

The 2000 Barolo Marenca, the only offering in the market from this superb vineyard, is the richest and most important of the four, powerful and sweet aroma with warm and penetrating notes of licorice, tar, and dried roses, a meaty, large-framed palate, and plush, firm tannins on its long and lingering finish. Drink: 2005andndash;2020.

The great 1998 Barolo Marenca offers the essence of Nebbiolo in its sweet bouquet of roasted espresso, cedar, Chinese black tea, soy, and black cherry/plum-like fruit. Dense, full-bodied, and viscous, this exceptional Barolo's purity and essence of Nebbiolo-like character make it a compelling wine to drink now and over the next 12-18 years.
