Luigi Bosca Malbec 2007
Hot cherries and oak. A little too much spice without enough body.
This is not a casual sipper. Will benefit from food. Deep purple, almost inky color, spice and red fruit up front on those nose, something didn't seem quite right and was off balance with this Malbec. Got a lot of alcohol on the finish. Would not recommend this wine for the price.
This is one helluva wine for the price. Has a body/structure and balance of a $15-$17 wine imho. Buy it if you see it.
Earthy nose of leather, rosemary and other herbs with plum. On the palate, dark core of plum, fig, dark cocoa and espresso. Deep and pleasantly lingering. - Tasted at Marché Bacchus 4/3/10
Very nice malbec. Full bodied up front with a smooth finish. $14.99 Total Wines
Perfect as a gift...except only give to someone who is not picky! This wine is a bit spicy for me. I'm surprised because most malbecs don't have the same effect. Hmmm, wonder if it was a fluke?
Recently, I was browsing Whole Foods Market, and was stopped dead in my tracks by this Malbec Rosé. I had unpleasant flashbacks of college parties reeling with jugs of Almaden while wearing a dickie. Uh, yeasurerightumhmm. Well, I'm in a deep Malbec stupor these days, and I couldn't resist buying it. Come time to drink, I had to close my eyes and lo and behold, was gently surprised. It was good and drinkable.
