Editorial Reviews for Lucien le Moine Vosne Romanée les Suchots Premier Cru
This smells stemmy and composty, all feral with iron and green pepper and even a touch of celery. Fairly nicely balanced, rich and broad with sufficient acidity to perk things up a touch on the palate. There’s some nice fruit here as well, clear with both mineral and very gentle vegetal tones accenting the blueberryish fruit on the mid-palate that becomes more obvious on the finish. The finish is a touch short and tough, though the blueberry fruit and violet nuances do show some aromatic lift. Hopefully time will help this because today it is a bit ordinary at best. 84pts
Deeply flushed in appearance, the wine presents an overt nose of non-fruit elements: leather, buffalo jerky and North African spices. Cranberries, red cherries, plums and potting soil chime in on the palate. The mouthfeel is soft but balanced with an easy-going juiciness. The excellent balance helps the flavors hold on through a medium-finish. 13% abv
89 points: Wonderfully fragrant, with spiced currant, sweet aromatic wood, and a bit of camphor. The palate is bold, with anise and licorice over roasted cherry. The palate flavors dance around with achoholic energy. It has a good balance with fine tannins that support, and later coat the mouth.
Winemaker's Notes: Alcohol: 12.5 % Acidity: 5 g/l RS: 2.8 g/l Content: 0,75 l This is an excellent example of typical Austrian Grüner Veltliner: a dry and fresh white wine with influences of green apples, grapefruit and lemon. All this underlined by the spice of white pepper and ripe acidity
Great with meat and spice. Bold flavors.
Lovely for drinking, plus held its own taste alongside a broccoli salad with a balsamic dressing.
Part of cellars wine club.
Crisp and clean with nice minerality - citrus.

Castillon is one of the best parts of the of the Candocirc;tes de Bordeaux; the wines are rustic and complex, an excellent complement to slow-cooked winter meals with lots of terrific herbs and spices. The Chandacirc;teau du Baradis shows off to perfection the black fruit, spice and earth for which the region is famous. A robust, hearty alternative to your favorite Rhandocirc;ne; try this with braised lamb or pot roast.
Hailing from the largest of the Beaujolais Crus, the Château de Bagnols Brouilly is a bit richer and bolder than many of the others. Medium-bodied, and loaded with bright cherry and ripe red currant flavors, this wine makes an excellent alternative to your favorite Côtes du Rhône. It drinks best with a slight chill (15 minutes in the fridge should do it), and is terrific with roast chicken or pork dishes, carpaccio or BBQ burgers.
