Lucien Albrecht Riesling Alsace Aoc Cuvée Henri 2009
The Gewurztraminer Reserve is made from selected (prime) grapes. Bursting with the aroma of honey, red roses and tropical fruit, yet dry and rich on the palate, this wine is lovely to drink on a warm afternoon by itself or paired in a meal with rich, creamy poultry dishes. It releases both to the mouth and the nose litchi, rose petal and spice aroma.
Relaxing apple and citrusy aromas. Smooth, buttery, and slightly acidic, with quite a kick of sweetness, this wine is great to drink by itself
Highly aromatic peach, white grape, honey and melon aromas -- very floral as well. Syrupy palate with lots of sweetness on the attack, honeyed and smooth. It's a dry wine that wants to be a sweet wine, finishes dark and earthy. Very interesting.
If I am going to say "OMG" to a wine, this would be it...beautiful peach aromas interlaced with some ripe pear that soothes the palette, which is subtly sweet. Finish is a bit zesty but still smooth as silk.
My favorite wine to date. Extremely smooth and easy to drink. sweet but not overly sweet. Very little sourness (to my liking) and has just the right amount of body and acidity. A very well balanced wine.

Along with strawberry and red raspberry fruit suggestions that are enhanced by the wine's discreet hint of sweetness, there are saline, meaty, and herbal notes to add interest to both the nose and a lush palate, and the hints of salinity and bitterness in the finish make for an invigorating complement to the wine's prominent fruit.
