Lucien Albrecht Pinot Noir Crémant d'Alsace Brut Rosé NV
I like this much more than a Veuve Clicquot. It's a third of the value and just as tasty. This was our NYE sparkler and everyone loved it. "Pink Champagne" doesn't get enough love, in my opinion.
Nice delicate rose, well priced, with solid berry flavors and nice bubbles. A nice alternative to Champagne
A delicate nose of melons. A well priced sparkling wine and a nice cheaper alternative to Champagne. Nice bubbles, rich mouthfeel and a medium intense yeastiness.
Found this sparkling to be a little too tart for my taste.
Beautiful color and alot of flavor for a great price! Wish that I had purchased more at Haskells in Naples, Florida--unfortunately, no longer open
External Reviews for Lucien Albrecht Pinot Noir Crémant d'Alsace Brut Rosé
While Albrecht's Pinot Blanc Cremant dandrsquo;Alsace (a genre Lucien Albrecht was prominent in legally codifying) is delicious, it is a bit simple to count as a top value at $24, whereas their non-vintage Cremant dandrsquo;Alsace Brut Rose andmdash; a pure Pinot Noir andmdash; is more intriguing and distinctive. Along with strawberry and red raspberry fruit suggestions that are enhanced by the wine's discreet hint of sweetness, there are saline, meaty, and herbal notes to add interest to both the nose and a lush palate, and the hints of salinity and bitterness in the finish make for an invigorating complement to the wine's prominent fruit. This comes in a light-sensitive clear bottle, and I could identify no lot number, so make sure that whoever sells you a bottle will take responsibility for freshness and proper storage.
Soft, fruity wine with light acidity and some attractive red berry fruits. It is warm, with an off-dry character, although the acidity does ensure freshness.
