Luce Della Vite Lucente 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

A rich purple-red introduces Lucente, flecked with luminous ruby highlights. The nose opens to a generous array of aromas, prominent among them fruity notes of wild cherry, dried plum, and blackberry preserves, lifted by toasty nuances of cocoa powder and black liquorice. The palate immediately impresses with its warmth and silky fabric, and with dense, fine-grained tannins, already well integrated. A superb structure, good alcohol, and crisp vein of acidity beautifully balance each other, and a long-lingering finish completes the overall harmony.

It is a radiant sun, with its corona of twelve flaming rays. It is a radiant sun, with its corona of twelve flaming rays. Anyone who strolls through the cities of central Italy will have admired it carved into the keystone of an arch, wrought into the decorative iron of a gate, or pressed into a ceramic tile-not to mention on the high altar of Florence's Santo Spirito church, built by Brunelleschi on a piece of property donated by the Frescobaldi family. This sun represents the Divine Light, light for mankind. It is a light that gives warmth, that nourishes growing things, and crafts the sinew within wine. Simply pronouncing its name conjures up the power of Sangiovese and of Merlot, which together give birth to Luce, in the generous earth of Montalcino. Read less
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Great Quality Wine but not so much personality, from my point of view, (i do not feel the terroir), looks like it can be made everywere but in any case it's almost the enological perfection

Tiefe, rubinrote Farbe, granatfarbene Reflexe.
