Luccarelli Negroamaro Puglia Igp 2012

Member Review by zufrieden:

The Vancouver BC wine reviewer (and former CBC disc jockey) Jürgen Gothe recently reviewed this IGP wine which presents Kirsch and treacle-like notes to the nose. The slight sense of over-ripe cherries continues on entry, but tempered by a slight acridness plus medicinal qualities. Unexpected balance and medium finish for this price. A bit syrup-like. 85 points.

An intense bouquet, sweet plumy fruit, complemented by velvety tannins and a smooth finish. Puglia, the heel of the Italian boot is a long flat region with prolific production of wine and table grapes as well as olive oil and is an important agricultural region. Cantina Terre di Sava was established in 2008 by a group of wine lovers who joined forces to rescue this precious winery from financial difficulties. The investors knew the heritage and potential of this unique land and were able to capitalise on the best aspects of the terroir, climate and unfaltering human endeavor to produce wonderful wines. Grapes : 100% Negroamaro Region: Italy / Puglia IGP Maker: Caterina Bellanova Notes : A well-structured wine with an intense bouquet, sweet plumy fruit complemented by velvety tannins and a smooth finish.
