Perhaps this need time to mature. However we are nearing 2014. This is 2011. For $37.00 per bottle this is a very disappointing Malbec to say the least! Not a single taste of fruit nor any other flavors - except powdery earth and alcohol. That's it. There is nothing else. Totally disappointing. This is literally on my dinner table right now. I'm about to pour down the sink.

Intense violet brigth color. On the nose some cristallized red fruit like plum and agras, very fruity wine. Some velvety tanins with the rigtha acidity, ligth body and again very fruity on the palate (it has 14 months on french new oak barrel). Some toffe on the after-taste. (Not my tipe of malbec). Deffinately will eat it with an Argentinian Style BBQ.

Positively delicious and exactly what one would expect from a Malbec. ull ruby. Blackberry on the nose and on the pallete, although with hints of violet on the nose as well. Sweet, but not overly so as it's nicely balanced by some tangy tannins. Nice peppery finish. Just awesome.

The 2012 Malbec comes from old vineyards in La Consulta and a dash from Gualtallary in the Uco Valley. It has a mineral-like, austere feeling, with notes of peach, sour cherries, and sweet spices, a medium-bodied palate with gripping tannins, and is refined and fresh, with some creamy and smoky notes from the barrel, which should disappear with a little time in bottle. This is great Malbec. Drink 2013–2020.

Very suave and polished, with ripe, pure flavors of blackberry, hoisin sauce and black pepper. Finely textured, this is packed with tar and roasted plum notes, showing plenty of licorice snap and dark chocolate accents on the powerful finish. Best after 2020.

Luca consistently delivers with their Malbec and this year was again no exception. Their 2010 expression has garnered more well deserved acclaim from the Wine Advocate and might not be around for long as a result.

A forward, jammy red, with layers of blueberry, blackberry and plum notes that pick up hints of smoke, graphite and mocha on the round finish. Drink now. -NW Wine Spectator. A Malbec wine from Mendoza in Argentina. 2010 Luca Malbec 750ml
