Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. This is an elegant wine that is food friendly and is a great combination for a wide variety of foods. It has improved with age and is probably close to it's peak. I love this wine ... then again, I am a bit biased, I know the wine maker of it!
