Louis Roederer Cristal Rose(1996)

Classical Champagne, this is predominantly pinot noir from old vines in Cumieres, creating a wine that focuses its flavors high in the mouth. It feels sleek and lively and lasts for minutes. Mousse: Lively and creamy bubbles forming a persistent, efervescent ring of precious tiny beads. Appearance: Satiny sheen, reflecting the warmth of old Roman tiles aged in the sun. Nose: Intense, generous bouquet with predominant aromas of figs, raspberries and wild strawberries. Palate: The attack is inviting. An immense wine with great finesse. A succession of red fruit flavors lead to a lingering finish. It is soft and fresh, and distinguished by its silky elegance.
