What to Expect

Champagne is usually, but not always, a blended wine that generally includes Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and occasionally Pinot Muenier. In the blend each component contributes certain characteristics: Chardonnay adds finesse and a bright elegance, Pinot Noir adds richness and depth of fruit while small additions of Pinot Muenier add earthy complexities.

Reviews

Very full and smooth to the point of being almost...silky. It was quite sweet, actually, and not unlike a very light honey. The word bright comes to mind. While certainly a fantastic champagne, I would not be able to tell the difference in quality between this and a bottle of Dom at half this price.

Good champage, had it for my college graduation. It just seemed to fit.

Yellow appearance with burnished gold reflections. Intense nose of white flowers, citrus and red berries, followed by warmer whiffs of toast and wood. On the palate , ripe lush fruits (vine peaches) and toasty flavours. Dense, fleshy structure. Powerful finish.

Stephen Tanzer: 92 Bright gold. Deep, subtly smoky nectarine and musky yellow plum aromas are energized by a suave mineral quality. Broad and fleshy, with deep, chewy pear, pit fruit and buttered toast flavors. A serious style, with velvety texture and excellent finishing punch. This has the concentration to repay cellaring but is open-knit enough to enjoy on the young side.
