Write your review here, and rate the wine from 1 to 5 glasses above.Louis Roederer NV Brut - As usual this is very youthful right off the shelf, and benefits from 2-6 years in the cellar, but his has the classic slightly yeasty, apple and toasted, buttery almonds. In the mouth it was predictably tight but combined admirably weight and depth with fine balance and an acid driven, refreshing finish. 91pts

In keeping with the season, there is lots of Christmas Cake on the nose with toasty almond and more candied fruit on entry. The mousse is rich and fine with a continuous outpouring of carbonated spring bubbles long after the first pour. Finish is long and tasty with more candied fruit and a purity of flavor beyond the price. Excellent value!
Bold yet refined. Pours a slightly pale straw colour but the bubbles are fats and small and last long after the bottle has been opened. But the flavour is a powerful and very sweet, biscuit with hints of apple and nuts. One of my favourite NV Champagne's.
Creamy, elegant and gorgeous champagne. Complex layers of pear, spice, honey and vanilla in a smooth, polished style. Very refined and long, complex finish. Great option for NYE! - Tasted at Marché Bacchus 12/12/09
Really nice citrus and fruity notes along with some bread and toast nuances. Bright acidity that lent a very crisp feel to the wine. The tartness of the acidity in the wine gave way to a smooth, creamy mouthfeel that persisted through the decently long finish. This wine had a nice complexity and was far from one-dimensional. I really enjoyed this Champagne and I would definitely recommend it.
Really excellent value. Very full with toasty yeast notes and a mega-long finish. I don't think there's any true Champagne that I like more at this price point.

Originally vinted in 1809 for Tsar Alexander II of Russia, 200 years later it is still the ultimate Champagne; an icon of luxury, style and taste. There is a great depth of flavor, the fruits going in a pure line of freshness.” But Wine & Spirits Magazine was overwhelmed, granting it a perfect 100 point score , and culminating their rave review with "It's already irresistible, and will only improve with ten, 20, 30 and 40 years of age."
