Louis M. Martini Winery:
We believe that Cabernet Sauvignon is the most noble of grapes. We believe that great winemaking begins with great vineyards, and we want the land to speak through our wines. Our wines express the best characteristics of Cabernet, the personality of the special places where our grapes are grown, and the vision and skill of the winemaker in blending balanced, engaging, and memorable wines.
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Decent Sonoma County cab from Louis Martini. Red and black cherry, dried prune, medium tannin and light to moderate acidity. Nothing over the top, just a decent middle of the road cab.

This 2010 has a wonderfully rich nose of herbs and Eucalyptus but on the palette, it is much more subdued. It has noticeable chocolate and berries but is not as rich as the nose would suggest. My rating---87.

wine is big and bold, lots of cassis and black licorice. Great value for $11

Smooth and complex, this is dry and softly tannic, with pleasant blackberry, black currant, spice and cedar flavors. Ready to drink now.

A dense ruby/purple color is followed by abundant aromas of black currants, cherries and loamy soil, but virtually no wood. The wine reveals lots of fruit along with a medium-bodied texture, silky tannins and adequate acidity. Drink this inexpensive beauty over the next 3–4 years, although I suspect it may last even longer.

Consistently one of the best values in California Cabernet, Martini's Sonoma Cabernet is sourced from vineyards in Dry Creek and Alexander Valley. Plenty of ripe, high toned red fruit character with a round mouth-feel and well-integrated oak.

The Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted from several of Sonoma County's most prestigious appellations and blended seamlessly to bring together the unique characteristics of each, creating a superbly balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine offers many layers, featuring aromas and flavors of red cherry, blackberry and fresh sage with an underlying dry creek dustiness. Subtle herbal notes are complemented by additional layers of chocolate and vanilla, resulting in an easy drinking, but complex wine.
