Drinking window: Drink between 2010 and 2019 (based on 1 user opinion) Community Tasting Notes (average 89.1 pts. and median of 90 pts. in 42 notes) - Tasted by Shipleys on 10/15/2012 & rated 90 points: Drank with a nice filet. Smooth, medium body and follow. Good tannins, just enough for meal. Overall a good wine. (97 views) Tasted by SMagowan on 10/14/2012 & rated 91 points: Open and let breathe for approximately 30 minutes. It showed nice lines in the glass, and exhibited a nose of cassis, methol, a hint of mint and dark chocolate. On the tongue this was nicely integrated with quite delicious tannins and a toach of oak, black cherry and licorice. Enjoyed with a grilled ribeye, roasted bell peppers and steamed broccoli. I was pleasantly surprised with this; a good QPR and cellar protector. (120 views) Tasted by PinotAge-Weetree on 7/23/2012 & rated 90 points: Approachable. Clean, smooth and easy drinking. I would not call this serious, but it is easily identifiable as a California cab, and that can't be a bad thing, I say!!! Break it out for guests and it'll be a huge hit. If you have a wine geek friend, I'd break out something a bit more serious, like a 2006 Ramey Napa. Nice vanilla imparted with the oak, which is not overdone. The fruit is a bit over ripe, but again, welcome to Californy. After a couple hours of air it opens up to cedar and black cherries. The finish is fine, but I wish it were a bit longer. You could do much worse at the $20 tariff. Goes great with any steak or cheddar cheese. Napa, Cab, $20, what could go wrong here? Not much. Enjoy with gusto! Louis M. Martini Winery:
We believe that Cabernet Sauvignon is the most noble of grapes. We believe that great winemaking begins with great vineyards, and we want the land to speak through our wines. Our wines express the best characteristics of Cabernet, the personality of the special places where our grapes are grown, and the vision and skill of the winemaker in blending balanced, engaging, and memorable wines.
