Louis Martini Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

"The 2011 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted from several of the county’s most prestigious appellations in the Alexander Valley and the Dry Creek Valley. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were blended seamlessly to bring together the unique characteristics of each vineyard, creating a superbly balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine has fresh red plum and blackberry jam aromas and flavors that are supported by caramelized and toasted oak notes. The round, full mouthfeel has just enough structure to lead into a fruit-focused finish." -Winery

Louis M. Martini Winery:
We believe that Cabernet Sauvignon is the most noble of grapes. We believe that great winemaking begins with great vineyards, and we want the land to speak through our wines. Our wines express the best characteristics of Cabernet, the personality of the special places where our grapes are grown, and the vision and skill of the winemaker in blending balanced, engaging, and memorable wines.
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Consistently one of the best values in California Cabernet, Martini's Sonoma Cabernet is sourced from vineyards in Dry Creek and Alexander Valley. Plenty of ripe, high toned red fruit character with a round mouth-feel and well-integrated oak.

The Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted from several of Sonoma County's most prestigious appellations and blended seamlessly to bring together the unique characteristics of each, creating a superbly balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine offers many layers, featuring aromas and flavors of red cherry, blackberry and fresh sage with an underlying dry creek dustiness. Subtle herbal notes are complemented by additional layers of chocolate and vanilla, resulting in an easy drinking, but complex wine.
