We believe that Cabernet Sauvignon is the most noble of grapes. We believe that great winemaking begins with great vineyards, and we want the land to speak through our wines. Our wines express the best characteristics of Cabernet, the personality of the special places where our grapes are grown, and the vision and skill of the winemaker in blending balanced, engaging, and memorable wines.
vanilla, cherry cola very distinct. I'm not a snob, so for me to taste it, it must have been right there, honey.
We love this 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma, it maybe past it's prime. I found this evening the cork in the bottle we just opened was leaking. Not a tight seal and the wine is off somewhat. It is drinkable so please drink your's up if you have any on the shelf. We consider this to be our "house cab wine" and can always count on a good bottle from Louis Martini. I am sorry it did not stand up to the others we have opened these past six months, we still have two bottles. I guess it is time to move onto 2008. If not for this bottle I would rate it a 4 plus but not today.
filled with dark fruits, blackberries, black currants, a little earthiness, some pepper, spice, cedar, and oak. Loads of flavor providing a great complexity to the wine, wonderful structure and balance of the tannins, acidity and fruit.
My Rating: 90. This wine is elegant with restrained fruit aromas . Fine grained tannins. Nose is smooth and long. It grows on you. At Costco Michigan I paid $ 11. Good deal
This is the best vintage yet of a wonderful series of wines at this level by Louis Martini in the 2000s. The nose opens to chocolate, dark fruits and spice, with florals floating over the top. The palate is warm and dry, with zesty acidity supporting cherry and blackberry in the center and chocolate rising from below like a deep, well-mixed bass guitar. A long, zingy finish delights the back of the palate with pops of cherry and pepper, while the mid-palate salivates and the front dries. The harmony of these three loci is extremely balanced and pleasurable, producing lengthy interplay, interest and complexity. Some wines have one or two of these areas going on at once, but this one delights in all three. Amazingly, the wine improves constantly over four hours, leaving the dilemma of savoring the peak vs. waiting even longer to test the curve of development. Alas, someone else will have to try it at five hours. Delight got the best of me. What a value!
Nice Cabernet, but didn't blow the doors off as I expected from a wine rated by some in the low 90s. Not a disappointment, but nothing exceptional. Had little nose, but was nice on the palate with good balance.
My wife loved this, I was a bit less excited. Deep dark red color. To me it lacked balance - strong tannins, medium body, and a medium finish. Very fruity. The tannins did seem to soften after some time out of the bootle. We had this with lamb and it went great. I suspect anything that could counteract the tannins would be very good.

WA 91pts. - According to Robert Parker: However, this estate does some stunning work in Napa as evidenced by one of the great values in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa. Made from 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and the rest Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot, this stunning wine can undoubtedly be found discounted to under $25 a bottle. Moreover, there are nearly 66,000 cases produced, so it one of the few outstanding Napa Cabernets that also has tremendous availability. Its dense plum/garnet color is followed by a stunning perfume of black currants, loamy soil, blackberries and smoke. The wine cuts a full-bodied swath across the palate and possesses silky tannins, layers of fruit and a beautiful, opulent, round mouthfeel. It should drink nicely for 10-15 years. Readers may remember that I gave the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa 90 points, and the 2007 is even better!
From Sonoma comes this great fruit forward bottle of Cabernet Sauvingon. Full of spice and blackcurrants.
The 2007 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted from several of Sonoma Countys most prestigious appellations and blended seamlessly to bring together the unique characteristics of each, creating a superbly balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine offers many layers, featuring aromas and flavors of red cherry, blackberry and fresh sage with an underlying dry creek dustiness. Subtle herbal notes are complemented by additional layers of chocolate and vanilla, resulting in a complex, yet easy drinking, wine.
This notable example first presents inviting aromas of cassis, sweet herbs and hints of pipe tobacco. On the palate, it exhibits a firm structure and intriguing flavors of ripe black cherries, deep, briary red fruits and old-world complexities that linger through a memorable finish.
An intense, concentrated and sharply focused red, exhibiting a pleasant spicy edge to the currant and blackberry flavors that are full-bodied, deep and persistent, turning elegant and sophisticated, with a lingering finish that sails on. Rated 90+
Ripe and supple, offering plum and black cherry fruit that's elegant and polished, complex and easy-drinking. Drink now through 2013.
