Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Private Reserve 2005

Member Review by Wine Fire:

The nose on this beautiful wine opens to a gorgeous floral bouquet with chocolate and black cherry undertones, spiced by pine needles and pepper. The palate launches to rich chocolate and black cherry, with other dark fruits including plum and blackberry dancing through. Velvety tannins support a depth and complexity not typical of a medium-priced wine, and the long peppery finish gives a zesty end to a delightful and elegant wine. At two hours, lavender dominates the nose and chocolate-cherry the palate, but with nicely balanced ancillary components.

Louis M. Martini Winery:
We believe that Cabernet Sauvignon is the most noble of grapes. We believe that great winemaking begins with great vineyards, and we want the land to speak through our wines. Our wines express the best characteristics of Cabernet, the personality of the special places where our grapes are grown, and the vision and skill of the winemaker in blending balanced, engaging, and memorable wines.
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
