Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley California Mountain 2009
Sourced from vineyards up and down the Napa Valley. This wine exhibits a deep burgundy color with intense aromas of cassis, sweet herbs and hints of pipe tobacco. Intriguing flavors of ripe black cherries, deep, briary red fruits, and old world complexities linger throughout the finish. This is a well structured and balanced wine that is medium-to-full-bodied and is ready to enjoy now or can be aged up to 5 years. Not yet reviewed; 2008 vintage rated 90 points by both Wine Enthusiast and Wine Advocate.
We believe that Cabernet Sauvignon is the most noble of grapes. We believe that great winemaking begins with great vineyards, and we want the land to speak through our wines. Our wines express the best characteristics of Cabernet, the personality of the special places where our grapes are grown, and the vision and skill of the winemaker in blending balanced, engaging, and memorable wines.
Lots of black pepper and dark fruit on the nose, supplemented by wood aromas. The attack is very smooth, with moderate tannins that give a pronounced dry feeling without much bitterness. Alcohol and nuttiness on the finish.
Full-bodied with a matching aroma and palate composition with hints of red cherry, plum, and blackberry set in a background of dry leave like tannins. Wonderful finish that lingers.
Clean ripe red fruit with a bit of spice. Candied and slightly sweet, zesty and bright.
Vintage rating : 94E Predicted year : 2014 MAX (Aged up to 5 years, but made to be drunk now). A full bodied wine that has an old world profile. Berries and vanilla show themselves on the nose while wood and leather smoothes things on the palate, finishing with lingering tannins. Nothing impressive... a decent goto wine.
Smooth mouth-feel. Not much character.
This was an excellent and most enjoyable Wine. The hint of pipe tobacco was a perfect Finish. This does not end Dry. My vavorite so far!
A good example of Napa Cabernet... Full bodied, rich, layered with a lingering finish... Dark berry flavors, tobacco, spice and oak.

Subtle notes of toast, vanilla and chocolate allow the leafy, cassis-driven fruit to shine. It's a medium-weight Cab, not a heavyweight, which makes it easier to pair with food. Finishes lush and chocolaty, with the merest hint of raisins.
A complex yet very approachable Cabernet, this bottle packs a lot of wine for a small price. Lush, round black fruit, plum and cherry flavors and nicely integrated spice give it mass appeal. Perfect if you do not want to break the bank but still want to be the hero of your next party.
The Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted from several of Sonoma County's most prestigious appellations and blended seamlessly to bring together the unique characteristics of each, creating a superbly balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine offers many layers, featuring aromas and flavors of red cherry, blackberry and fresh sage with an underlying dry creek dustiness. Subtle herbal notes are complemented by additional layers of chocolate and vanilla, resulting in an easy drinking, but complex wine.
Consistently one of the best values in domestic Cab, Louis M. Martini showcases a myriad of flavors, starting with flavors of ripe raspberry, cherry, tobacco, and hints of spice, complemented by a solid backbone of tannins that holds it all together.
Tight, chewy and earthy. Full-bodied and complex, offering a mix of earthy currant, anise and dried berry fruit that ends up on the dry and tannic side. Drink now through 2014.
I am also including their 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma, a 290,000-case blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest the other Bordeaux varietals. An exquisite value, this is a seductive, fleshy, fruity wine with excellent texture, body, and balance. Lots of cassis as well as silky tannins characterize this top bargain pick! Drink it over the next 5-7 years.
Here's a nice, elegant Cabernet that shows some special qualities for the price. It's dry and smooth, with classic Cabernet flavors of black currants, spices and cedar, and rich, sweet tannins. Ready now.
