This wine has a great berry punch while maintaining some complexity. Has flavors of chocolate, cassis, and oak as well. Decant and let sit for an hour before drinking. Great with steak and meats. One of my favorite Cabs in this price range. Maybe a little overpowering for some palates Martini really did a great job blending different wines

Middle of the road cab, forgettable. Lots of interesting elements, but nothing that stands out or lasts.

Good complexity for such an inexpensive wine. A mix of Napa and Sonoma, so you get a nice mix of those reigon's characteristics.

Wine Tasting NotesThe Louis M. Martini Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon was made to highlight the high quality of its fruit. It offers aromas of red cherry and blackberry that are supported by a round, sweet mouth feel with just enough structure to lead it into a fruit-focused finish.

Our 2006 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is terroir-driven with aromas and flavors of dried cherries, tobacco, leather and earth tones balanced with expressions of toasty vanilla oak. The layers and intensity of flavors evolve into a plush, lingering finish with velvety tannins and is a perfect complement to warm, earthy dishes, wild game and red meats. Lush and well-structured, the 2006 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon belongs in everyones cellar and is meant to be enjoyed now or can be cellared for the next five years.

90 points from Robert Parker: `One of the finest bargains in California Cabernet Sauvignon must be Louis M. Martini's outstanding 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma. The good news is there are 140000 cases produced. Fabulously sweet aromas of black currants licorice and cedar soar from the glass of this medium to full-bodied wine. With silky tannins as well as surprising concentration depth and texture this 2006 should drink well for 8-10 years.`
