Rather oaky on the nose with candied medicinal tones and notes of roasted root vegetables that are earthy and sweet. This pulls itself together well adding a dried porcini tone and notes of cigar smoke. Moderately rich and soft on the palate this has some angular tannins on the mid-palate that add texture to the juicy, somewhat matte black raspberry toned fruits. The finish gains a green, herbal topnote that creates some separation between the ripe fruit and soft texture allowing this to gain some volume in the mouth. A bit chunky but with a good flavor profile and nice structure. 87pts

Wine Tasting NotesA pale, mahogany colored wine with bold, lively fruit aromas. Medium acidity, supple tannins and round structure all combine deliciously with floral flavors to create a suave, fine wine.
