Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2009
A masterpiece in complexity and an overall powerful wine. Notes of roasted almonds with smoky undertones, in addition one finds a slight hint of black powder, and of tartness, proof of its excellent acidity/fruit balance. We encounter buttery aromas, vanilla-like ones that are enhanced with ripe yellow flesh fruit ones; mango. A wine in full evolution, to be enjoyed for many years to come.
Great structure and flavors. 94 pts. -Wine Spectator Grand Tour 5/5/12
A highly appealing nose of fruit cocktail or semi-sweet mixed fruit confit drizzled over freshly fallen snow. Nice light yellow color in the glass with good viscosity. In the mouth, the wine carries a light toast and butter flavor with a slight sprinkle of vanilla. The finish is quite lengthy with some residual acidity but a lingering taste of spiced fruit or gentle, floral perfume. An excellent wine that may age another 4-5 years. Tasted at the 2010 Vancouver International Wine Festival.

Famous Grand Cru White Burgundy. The vineyard of Corton-Charlemagne is situated in the prime area of the hillside of Corton where its southeasterly aspect ensures maximum exposure to the sun. The fruit is harvested as late as possible to guarantee maximum ripeness. Wine Spectator scored this 92 points saying "An intense, concentrated style, with a mineral streak underlining the peach, apple, lemon and spice flavors. This is linear, showing polish and a long, spicy finish. Best from 2017 through 2028." Grab it now while it's On Sale!

The fruit is harvested as late as possible to guarantee maximum ripeness. Wine Spectator scored this 92 points and Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored it 94 saying "One of the flagship wines of Louis Latour, this has great weight, richness and ripe yellow fruits, all surrounded by wood and citrus flavors. A sense of mineral in the texture adds complexity, while the firm structure needs to age. Drink from 2018." Grab it now while it's On Sale!
An upper register and highly complex nose of green apples, white pear and citrus notes introduces almost painfully intense, pure and impressively powerful big-bodied and overtly muscular flavors that possess an almost aggressive minerality on the palate staining, tension-filled and driving finish. This is really a striking wine that is built to age as there is an abundance of dry extract. Gorgeous.
An opulent style, boasting honey, peach, citrus, vanilla and pastry aromas and flavors. Very smooth and almost viscous in texture, yet stays fresh and long on the finish, with an attractive toasty aftertaste. Drink now through 2027.
