Louis Latour Chardonnay Mâcon-Villages 2007
Maison Louis Latour, is one of the most innovative producers in Burgundy whilst maintaining its traditional image. With a view to expanding the business in 1979, the valley of the Ardeche river with its limestone-based soils was chosen as the ideal location to produce top-quality vin de pays Chardonnay. The wine is deliciously apple-fresh with crisp acidity and a smooth finish.
This is a really good Chardonnay. If you are expecting a big fruity, oakey wine then this isn't for you. The texture of the wine is far more earthy. Good minerality that you would come to expect from the Burgogne, albeit from the pinor noir side of things. An abundance of citrus with solid acidity, this was quite a find.
Very well balanced with notes of butter and vanilla.

This wine has a sparkling gold-green colour and a pretty bouquet of acacia flowers on the nose. In the mouth it is smooth with lovely balance. Notes of white fruits
