This is ever-so-slightly riper with an equally broad ranging nose of spice, underbrush, warm earth, red pinot, blue berry and floral notes trimmed in a bit of oak that precedes the impressively scaled, robust and sleekly muscled full-bodied flavors that are supported by firm structural elements, especially in the context of the '08 vintage, all wrapped in a serious, masculine and intensely long mineral-driven finish. As is often is, this is the wine of the vintage chez Jadot but like the Bonnes Mares, patience will definitely be required.Allen Meadows' Burghound
