Similar to what Jacques Lardière noted for the 2000 reds (see Issue 6), he observed that the main headline for the 2000 whites was yields, yields and yields. He describes the 2000s as a very solid vintage with good purity, tender middles and adequate acid structure but it is not in his view a great one; that said, he was quick to point out that there were some exceptional wines made.
