"Intricate aromas of chocolate, spices, and sweet black fruits are found in the nose of the medium to full-bodied 2003 Latricieres-Chambertin. A highly concentrated, backward wine, it offers a firm personality crammed with blackberries, cassis, and dark cherries. 'We made no concessions in the winemaking process,' said Lardiere as he poured this behemoth, alluding to the fact that so many other Burgundians had so feared the vintage that they'd by-passed macerations, pump-overs, and punch-downs (pigeages)."*-- Wine Advocate*
