Louis Jadot Chardonnay Meursault-Blagny Premier Cru 2010
Editorial Reviews for Louis Jadot Chardonnay Meursault-Blagny Premier Cru
Lovely and fresh on the nose with pure aromas of apple blossoms, apples and hints of greengage plums. Light-bodied and very finely balanced with assertive if integrated acidity adding cut to the light and simple apple fruit. This has a nice inner mouth perfume and lively transparency of flavors with suggestions of green herbs and perhaps a whisper of tarragon on the palate. Very clean and a touch mineral on the light and aromatic finish. Nothing is going to bowl you over here, but this is easy, fresh and pure. 86pts
Very clean and crisp unoaked white burgundy with lemon zest, pineapple, white pepper and tongue cleansing acidity. Great QPR.
Light with notes of apricot and even plum. Very unlike oaky Californian Chardonnays. For more on the Tuscany vs All French, visit http://dionyshius.blogspot.com/2012/04/tuscany-versus-all-french-tasting.html
Three and a half glasses
I drink this label often and am rarely disappointed as I often am with chewy buttery California Chards.
Melon, citrus, earthy, lingering and definitely acidic. I enjoyed a taste of this one but found it difficult to finish my glass.
This is crisp and acidic, almost sour, in a good way. It's definitely quite dry and relatively full-bodied with a flavor that lingers. In fact, it felt almost too heavy when I tried it at a 65-degree room temperature. This wine should definitely be chilled a bit first to help compliment the sharp taste.

The wines of the Maconnais are produced exclusively from the Chardonnay grape. Lighter and more delicate than the wines of the Cote d'Or. This Chardonnay is fruity, elegant and crisp, and most delicious when fresh and young.
You can definitely detect the wood in this wine, but it is finely integrated with the creamy apricot and white fruit flavors. Acidity fits well into this ripe, easy and soft Chardonnay.
Free of oak, this simple Macirc;con allows chardonnayrsquo;s bright, appley flavors to sing. Itrsquo;s refreshing in itself, or with sole in a beurre blanc.

Ripe wine, pushing its toast, pear and apricot flavors. Smooth, with an English walnut taste, and green herb acidity.
