Served slightly chilled. The nose was a little closed off but still had detectable herbal, floral, and fruity scents. On the palate the wine has tropical fruit-type flavors with a distinct note of pineapple. Light to medium body with some dryness. Nice structure.
Another great summer white! Mellow, well-balanced with a semi-rich finish. Makes mouths happy!
This voluptuous white made from Chardonnay grapes offers notes of ripe apples, pears, vanilla, and toast. Made in the top region of Burgundy, the wine is a cuvée (blend) from several vineyards: Côte d'Or, Chalonnais, and Saint Vérand. One half of the wine is vinified and aged in oak barrels to give it that rich, buttery roundness, while the other half is made in stainless-steel tanks to retain the fruit flavors. Choose a glass with a large, generous bowl that will collect its rich aromas and glisten like a liquid gold ornament.
One of the few times I took to the internet to research where I could find a particular wine. This Louis Jadot was very smooth. We had it with our Thanksgiving Dinner. I liked it very much!!
