Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages 2011
Strong red purple colour. Fresh red fruits on the nose with a hint of dark cherry. Slightly spicy with a touch of grey pepper, liquorice and a touch of rose flower. The whole wine is very well balanced with a nice acidity and the tannins presence on the finish invites food pairing such as with Terrines, Charcuteries, Grilled red meat, white fish, cheese or simply as the sole wine of a meal.
Great dinner/anytime wine. Bouquet: Fruity with hints of cherry. Subtle earth aromas. Palate: Medium-sweet. Slightly crisp. Somewhat smoky with hints of cherry/berries. Medium body. For the price a wonderful value.
This is fruitier the the beaujolias I have had before. A big hit with my turkey group of red drinkers. Would definitely buy again.
Great nose, floral yet earth. Taste of berries with a long finish. A great value for very good wine.
Color: Garnet. Aroma: Cherries and strawberries. Mouthfeel: Light, mildly acidic, hardly any tannins. Flavor: Mildly sweet and fruity, especially cherries. Setting: Melting Pot December 2013 for Emily's birthday. Bought another bottle at Giant the week later.
A fruity, light-bodied wine. Light tannins on the finish, nose is sweet fruit and pepper.
Light, red-fruity, easy-drinking
Very light bodied. Tart fruit, but drinkable. It was thin and bland.
