Food Pairings for Lot Sonoma Mountain Syrah
Notes: Whoa! Full-throttle hillside Syrah. Classically rich, muscular, and dense. This one screams out of the bottle with raspberry and blackberry fruit, cinnamon and mint. Dense mid-palate fruit carries through to a long, uplifted finish. Pure fruit (24 months in neutral barrels), plenty of complexity, and structure throughout. In my opinion, the best Syrah we have produced so far. Cameron Confidential: Young hillside vineyard, 800 foot elevation, clay and rock soil, low yields—all this adds up to a killer wine. The second I tasted it I instructed the winemaker to buy it all. The only question I have is: Why did the guy sell us this stuff? Dynamite juice that's being sold for $30 a bottle.
