What to Expect
Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.
Winemakers Notes
Notes: Gorgeously structured with perfectly integrated fruit and oak, utterly seamless. The nose soars out of the glass with elegantly rendered vanilla, almond and lemon verbena notes. On the palate the wine is full bodied but well supported showing spicy nutmeg, butterscotch and almond. What’s amazing about this wine is its structure, everything’s in perfect balance. Compare at $30-50. Cameron Confidential: Having fallen in love with Margaret River Chardonnay during our last trip to Australia, I started to poke around the region and see who might want to make some wine for us. Editorial Reviews
Intensely smoky on the nose with layers of dried fruits, apple and pear with dried lime zest top notes. The spicy oak tones gain in the glass though the fruit is more than ample enough to stand up to it. Soft and juicy in the mouth with a silky, polished feel accentuated by the lowish acidity. Nice cooler climate notes of orchard fruits and citrus are gentle yet layered, if a touch short though the finish has a pleasant citrus twang to it. Solid Chardonnay 87pts

Opening with an intensely smoky tone to the dried apple and pear fruit this gains a touch of zesty lime that helps to work as a counterpoint to the butterscotch and spice oak tones. Soft and juicy in the mouth with a lush feel to the sweet/tart orchard fruits this is silky and polished with a cool climate feel though subtle tropical tones creep in on the finish which ends on a zesty citrus tone. Nicely done Chardonnay. 87pts
