Notes: This beautiful Sauvignon Blanc screams the classic essence of the Marlborough region in New Zealand. Aromas of lovely floral components, fresh cut grass, white peach, and wet stone. Sipping this luscious white brings out a phenomenal burst of grapefruit, followed by apricot and honeysuckle. This wine is 100% stainless steel fermented and grips your palate with a nice, bracing acidity that makes it a perfect complement to Mediterranean fare such as oysters on the half shell. Cameron Confidential: The world-renowned region of Marlborough is on the northern-most end of the south island of New Zealand and is—of course—known for producing world-class Sauvignon Blanc. This one comes from a grower group we are looking to partner with in the near future. They have some of the best holdings in Marlborough and are just sick to death of getting their great grapes lopped into pricing contracts that treat them like the grapes born in lesser soils. They built their own winery a few years ago and hired one of the best winemakers in the area to produce their wines. This wine is juicy and ripe with some seriously bracing acidity—I love it! Look for us to get bigger into Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
A grassy nose with a bit of ammonia and goosebury. Crisp and tart, while being softly grassy. A sharp finish with nice fruits. Good but I cant rate a New World SB any higher really.
Consistent with last note, and still drinking well. Fresh, bright, and lively with nice balance. Sorry I have only one more bottle!
Texbtook example of a Marlborough sauvignon blanc. Pale, almost watery color with tangy aromas of cut grass and citrus rind. The palate is predominantly white grapefruit and a bit of lemon, but the grass notes are reintroduced in the juicy finish. Exceptional value.
