Lot 162 Sonoma County Syrah 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Notes: Dark cherry red in the glass. Rich aromas of dark berries, cocoa, and vanilla open up to an intriguing background of earth and mineral. Full in the mouth, this wine is showing great balance and framing acidity. Well structured with complex tannins, this Syrah lends itself to the old-world style preference. Cameron Confidential: This is another wine that hails from the south-facing slope of the Mayacamas, the mountain range that divides Napa and Sonoma. This region has been considered for AVA status but is still caught up in red tape. From a high-end program right on the border, the base of this wine is predominantly Syrah with just a touch of Zinfandel, providing great fruit and great structure. This wine is still a baby, needing a decant or some time in the cellar to show everything it has to offer.
