Lot 135 Central Coast Syrah 2007
Notes: Inky black color with a red rim. Soaring nose of smoky spice and meat, plums, blueberries and violet highlights. The palate is broad and deep and redolent with spicy plums, blackberry fruit, pepper and pain grille. Super smooth on the palate, this wine shows outstanding oak and tannin integration with framed fruit and a long, deep, broad finish. Cameron Confidential: This is actually two single vineyard designates blended together (one from Santa Ynez and another from Westside Paso Robles). We would have bottles them separately but they were simply better together. IN fact, because we blended them together we lost the more marketable sub-appellations. Sourced from a winemaker famous for Rhone Varietals who hasn’t scored anything less than 90 points from Parker or Tanzer on any syrah he has made since the 90’s. This gentleman actually has some excess capacity at his winery and will be sourcing for us another syrah out of 2009. Booyah.
Very bright aroma, with strawberry, melons, and stone fruits. There's something very smooth and savory as well. Spice melange? The mouth attack is very well rounded, with good peppery body.
Rich brambly succulent peppery nose. Super lean and delicate in the mouth with round dusty red fruit. Perfectly balanced acidity and a big dusty sweet jammy finish.
