For $10 you can't go wrong with this. Very Bordeaux-like approach. I would never guess this was from Chile.
I say there is absolutely no differences between the Reserva and the regulara. This reminds me of a $10 2005 Bordeaux. Some cotton candy on the mid-palate. I would never guess this was a Cabernet. More like a south american pinot.
Dark ruby red. Aroma strong with cherries, blackberries and a touch of liquorice. Strong palate with chocolate and tobacco that is blended with oak and young tannins. Well balanced with a soft, subtle finish. Could probably use some more aging. I will try this again later.
Chalky minerality on the nose. Lots of red and black berry fruit. Nose is rather tight on this. On the palate, it's got rich "warm" red berry fruit. Lots of flinty minerality. Some toasty oak. Hints of coffee grounds. Some bitter chocolate. It feels a tad gritty. Nice wine.
9/20/2012 - SWEST WROTE: 88 Points Blackberry nose. Dry plum and velvety tannin prominent. Subtle cherry vanilla mid. Dry cocoa finish. Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No / Comment Options 3/10/2012 - VICENRIQ LIKES THIS WINE: 85 Points Garnet red, not too deep. Red berries, leather and pepper. Fruity finish, light bodied with a medium finish.
A disappointment. Since when do Cabernet Sauvingnon's have such over-ripe cherry overtones? The nose was cherry cough drop+pepper, but the taste was watery and unpleasantly bitter. The finish?...well, there really wasn't a finish. Sorry, but I expected more, even though this was a $10 bottle. I won't buy it again.

Los Vascos is fast becoming the leader in value-priced Sauvignon Blanc from the Casablanca Valley. This is the winery's best effort to date, and it delivers a champion's blast of green apple and citrus aromas. The palate is lively as can be, and it houses fine but also defined lemon and lime flavors. Refreshing as a walk under a cascade; clean and scouring.Medium red. Sharply focused red- and blackcurrant on the nose, with complicating floral and spice qualities adding interest. Juicy red fruit flavors offer good clarity and finishing grip, gaining sweetness on the close.
A straightforward Cabernet Sauvignon from the Chilean property of Domaine Lafite Rothschild. It's extremely approachable, with ripe cassis fruit and soft tannins to please anyone's palate.
The perfect wine for barbecued steaks and burgers this summer! Made in Chile by Lafite-Rothschild, this is an elegantly styled Cabernet with lush currant and accents of earth and tobacco.
The herbal, almost ethereal aromatic character contrasts with a rough, severe texture. A juicy tenderloin will bring it into balance.
Aromas of toast and coffee give way to a firmly-textured wine with dark coffee, prune and mineral flavors. It's balanced but austere, though it might open with food Drink now through 2002.
The color is intense ruby with fine brilliance and orange nuances. The nose explodes with fruit: black cherry and blackcurrant (Cabernet), strawberry (Malbec), raspberry (Syrah), plum light mint and black pepper (Carmenre). The oak contributes delicious aromas of tobacco, cinnamon, and crme brle (vanilla, caramel and chocolate). The rich and creamy taste is fresh and very intense, well structured and finishes with a fruit intensity of raspberries and cherries accompanied by a touch of liquorice and walnut skin. It is very dynamic and still very young. This juicy and luscious wine is delicious to taste now but the tannins still need to mature for a while before it becomes ideal for drinking.
