Los Vascos Chardonnay Colchagua 2007
Los Vascos’s Chardonnay has a limited production. The objective is to make a fresh and delicate wine, with a harmonious and fruity bouquet. The vineyard’s own Chardonnay grapes are complemented by a selection of grapes from Casablanca valley located further north between Santiago and Valparaiso, which is renowned for its great Chardonnay production.Following a winter and spring with moderate rainfall, the summer of 2007 was particularly hot leading to an early harvest for the whites with a nice balance of ripeness. This vintage has a brilliant and clear colour with golden reflections. It has an explosive nose of melon, grapefruit and exotic fruit coupled with the typical Chardonnay note of hazelnut. In the mouth, it is rich, fresh and pleasantly fruity with good structure and a long finish. This Chardonnay should be drunk young, as an appetizer, with oysters, white meat, fish or cheeses. It should be opened one hour before serving at between 10 ° to 12 ° C.

Not big on the nose, but the round texture is pleasant, and the notes of apple and cream carry through on the finish. Drink now.
Pale straw. Spicy lemon and orange aromas show good freshness and cut. Clean and racy, with precise citrus and green apple flavors and a pleasantly sweet finish that features a kick of spice and good length.
