User Reviews for Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon
Add your reviewComing from the Conchagua I knew this wine would be dry and full bodied, however I was extremely surprised how much it opened up after sitting for awhile, the complex falovrs kept changing and surprising me! A great buy for under 10$.
This simple wine is pale to medium ruby. On the nose, there are blackberries, minerality, earthiness, and a touch of heat from the alcohol. This is a youthful, lighter-style Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate, there are bright flavors of black cherries, raspberries, and a medium length finish.
Nice cabernet, healthy tannins which I prefer, fruity and a bit of spice on the end. Great berry flavor and a moderate to long finish
I found the nose to be nice: dark red berries with notes of tobacco and a bit of funk. However, in the mouth, it was extremely flabby. The structure was not there for me
External Reviews for Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon has a Bordeaux-like bouquet, perhaps no surprise given the producer, with notes of blackberry, bay leaf and sous-bois. The palate is medium-bodied with dry, slightly coarse tannins and a strong bell pepper and spice finish that shows good length, if not great finesse. Drink now-2014.
It is an attractive ruby in color with a very red fruit nose and some very chocolate and bay leaf touches. This wine is pleasant, excellent body, juicy and ripe. Highly concentrated with strawberry & cherries fruit notes and marked spices. Persistent and outstandingly balanced Cabernet Sauvignon.
Brilliant red ruby color. Pleasant mature fruit such as red cherries, raspberries and plums. Notes of sarsaparilla and gooseberry jam, glazed dry fruit, red fruit in syrup and white chocolate. Spices of black pepper, nutmeg, bay leaves, mint and cloves. Sweet, round, vigorous and elegant tannins. Good acidity with character. Simply delicious.
Forward, with mint, raspberry and cherry sauce notes backed by a dash of toast. Drink now. 100,000 cases imported. -JM ** SOLD OUT **
