Food Pairings for Los Ailos Syrah Blend Tulum Valley Syrah/Malbec
This is a very smooth, even mild tasting Syrah with Malbec undertones. I much prefer this wine over the fruitier Pinot Noirs and serve it to many guest successfully. Several people have commented on its drink-ability. I think this because it hits a successful middle ground --not overly round like a Syrah and not the boldness of a Malbec. This wine is not very complex in its tasting, more of a everyday drinker, not intruding in the meal as a main event. I have had many bottles and they are extremely consistent. PLeasant.
Bold, rich and ever-changing taste. Aroma of something like kerosene at first was off-putting but it vanished. Beautiful rich color, some violet as the label suggests. Berry flavors I could not specify but loved, leather, chocolate.
